Join us in Bellingham for our brand new workshop: Breathe & Dance!
Register Now
We’re excited to debut our brand new workshop, Breathe & Dance. Experience a full 1-hour Breathwork session, powerful in itself, followed by a Conscious Movement session. In between, you’ll have time for self-reflection through mandala drawing, journaling, or meditation.
Breathwork Session
Join us for an experiential introduction to the principles and practices of Holotropic Breathwork, an all-natural embodied approach to accessing non-ordinary states that emerged as an alternative method when psychiatrist Stan Grof’s psychedelic work became illegal.
Powerful music is combined with breathing technique to help you extend beyond the thinking mind into the wilds of deeper feeling, intuitive wisdom, and embodied knowing. Many participants at these hour-long sessions have reported powerful experiences.
Glenn Girlando, M.A., will lead the Breathwork. He’s been leading Grof’s Holotropic Breathwork workshops in the Seattle area for the last 15 years.
Conscious Movement Session
After “opening the weave” between the conscious and unconscious mind with the Breathwork, you’ll love this further psyche-opening free-form Conscious Movement experience. As with any BNW activity, anybody can participate to any degree they like, or use it as a meditative process.
Jacqueline Smith, M.A. will lead the Conscious Movement. She is a psychotherapist in the Bellingham area who has been doing breathwork since 1996, and is currently enrolled in the Grof Transpersonal Training program. Jacqueline has participated in Ecstatic Dance in the Seattle area since 2000. She founded the Tacoma Conscious Dance Collective, and has led Conscious Movement for the last three years. Jacqueline’s combined experiences make her the ideal facilitator to bridge the principles of Holotropic Breathwork to Conscious Movement. Past participants have shared many positive comments about Jacqueline’s ability to create safe, sacred space in her sessions.
No experience is necessary – newcomers and experienced previous attendees are welcome.
